Why timing matters more than the daily total

Two people can both log 200 mg. One drinks it at 8:00 AM; the other drinks it at 4:00 PM. The bedtime estimate for those days is not the same, even if the daily total matches.

Brewlytics keeps the daily total for the intake question and adds a bedtime projection for the timing question.

How the bedtime estimate is built

Set a bedtime in the app. For each logged drink, Brewlytics estimates remaining caffeine at that clock time with the same half-life model, then sums those amounts. The website calculator can show the one-drink version of this math.

A planning number, not a sleep guarantee

There is no universal milligram cutoff that makes sleep certain. Sensitivity, dose, and timing all vary. Treat the bedtime figure as context for the next drink, not as a diagnosis or a promise about sleep quality.

A cutoff is a practical last-drink time chosen so estimated remaining caffeine is lower by bedtime. Brewlytics does not lock you to one cutoff clock time; it estimates milligrams remaining at the bedtime you set.

Will this make me sleep better?

The app does not promise sleep outcomes. It only estimates remaining caffeine from what you logged. Sleep depends on many factors beyond caffeine.
